Your rich Uncle Ernie is an introvert with a big heart. He loves people, but he also enjoys getting away to recharge. This personality manifests in his fly-fishing excursions into the bush country of Canada and supporting of missionaries in remote areas. To service both of these pursuits, he has purchased two Quest Kodiak turboprop aircraft: one for his home in the States and one that he will donate to Missionary Aviation Fellowship. Desiring to get as much “bang for his buck” and knowing that you are in the GFU mechanical engineering program, he has asked you to develop a proposal with both a thermodynamic and an economic analysis for the following engine modification goals:
Maximize thermal efficiency (maintain current horsepower) with the goal to increase flight time
Maximize horsepower (maintain current thermal efficiency) with the goal to ship a larger amount of supplies
