For our Fluid Mechanics class my team was tasked with designing and building a device to generate electricity using either wind or water that would produce at least 2 volts. We decided to use water and make a water wheel type design. Our final design, without the nozzle, was the cheapest in the class costing only $5.51 and producing 3.09 volts.
The second part of this project was to take our prototype and imagine it as a consumer product. In the report we discuss how we would change the design so that it could be sold as a product.
