My Senior Design team, the Shockers From Mars, was the first ever Wichita State University team to be accepted into the IREC competition, where the objective was to launch an 8.8 pound payload to a precise target apogee of 10,000 ft. Our rocket was named WuShock Stardust. IREC 2020 has been cancelled due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

• Built trajectory simulation and drag buildup tools in MS Excel and MATLAB
• Created velocity, acceleration and altitude plots to compare configurations
• Directed manufacturing and ejection charge testing procedures
• Organized and contributed to proposal and design reports
• Modeled concepts in OpenVSP and OpenRocket
• Communicated with suppliers and competition officials
• Presented at WSU Engineering Virtual Open House 2020
