World-Readiness Standards for Learning Languages

This is the content area national standards for World Languages by the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL). California Common Common Core State Standards (CA CCSS) for the World Languages K-12 is expected to be published in 2019. The new CA CCSS shares the principal of ACTFL standards, and elements in common. The World-Readiness Standards is consisted of 5 Cs, Communication in three modes, Culture, Connections, and Comparisions in two modes. With the four modes of language learning, Speaking, Listening, Reading, and Writing, 5Cs should be present in the lesson planning.
