Objective:
Created an interactive workforce dashboard to analyze employee demographics, salaries, and experience across departments, demonstrating proficiency in Excel for business decision-making.
Skills Applied & Learning Outcomes:
Data Organization: Used tables with headers, multiple sheets, and merged cells for clarity.
Advanced Formulas: Applied VLOOKUP, SUM, AVERAGE, and absolute cell references to automate calculations.
Dynamic Features: Implemented data validation (drop-down menus) and conditional formatting to highlight key metrics (e.g., high salaries/low experience).
Efficiency Tools: Leveraged AutoFill, AutoFit, and AutoSum to streamline workflows.
Professional Formatting: Followed assignment specifications with Accounting Number Format, themes, footers, and total rows.
Data Analysis: Built pivot tables to summarize departmental trends.
Reflection:
This project honed my ability to transform raw data into actionable insights, a skill vital for roles in HR analytics, finance, or operations. For example, the dashboard’s sorting and conditional formatting features allow managers to quickly identify payroll disparities or retention risks.
