Agile Design (SAM) Applied To AABS Workbook
This video provides a small demonstration of my project management skills as applied to my research in the creation of the Arithmetic and Basic Skills (AABS) Workbook. This research was focused on improving student engagement in high school algebra classes.
Many individuals start their high school careers without being able to perform basic arithmetic skills such as adding and subtracting integers and/or knowing their 2-12 multiplication and division facts. Without these fundamentals, students consistently struggle with performing the algebra skills necessary to pass their course. The biggest problem educators face is they are constrained by instructional time, high student volume and are required to teach state driven content standards regardless of student proficiency level. The AABS workbook works within these constraints and provides a solid return on the instructional time invested. I have also included a copy of the complete AABS Answer Workbook if you are interested in seeing the workbook. This workbook is short, simple, and yields enormous results.
