Game engines, the backbone of every video game -- be it from shooters like Fortnite to platformers like Mario -- have existed since the dawn of the gaming industry. As of today, two of the most notable game engines are none other than the Unity and Unreal engines. These two game engines are the most commonly implemented in gaming's current industry. They are made use of to virtually craft beautiful worlds, intense fights, and enjoyable adventures.
As the final for my Computer Science Freshman Colloquium course, my assignment group was tasked with comparing both game engines to see the better of the two and, overall, how both are not solely just for making video games.
In this presentation, not only do we provide a detailed essay written by each member of the group, but also showcase a PowerPoint visual which summarizes the majority of the points covered within the written portion.
