This is the portfolio summary of my entry into TSA's Transportation Modeling, Agility. In Transportation Modeling, participants research, design, and produce a scale model of a vehicle that fits the annual design problem, this year being a manned vehicle for exploration or mars or the moon. I researched and implemented the techniques used on the Curiosity rover such as the Rocker-Bogie suspension system, complemented by my own ideas. Some problems I overcame were finding ways to divide the large body of the vehicle into easier 3d printable pieces, how to create a synthetic rubber-like tread, and fitting as many features as possible while still having it remain a comfortable living space. In the end, I had a 1 inch to 2 feet scaled model with ramps, airlocks, folding seats, compartments, and a sleek exterior and interior design.
