At the time the Fujitronic FF-505 was an affordable tower fan with a remote however like most budget items there is room for improvement. In this paper a few changes were made to improve on the existing design such as the remote holder, coloring, and oscillation housing. Fans provide a low energy consumption home cooling option compared to air-conditioning. Unlike pedestal fans a tower can provide a column of moving air. The above two reasons are why this tower fan was chosen to satisfy the requirement for completing ME265 and San Jose State University’s GWAR.
