The goal of the project is to construct a device that turns itself off when turned on; thus the term "useless." There are many ways to achieve that, the simplest being to use a tongue piece attached to a servo that pushes a switch down when it's pushed up. I decided to take that literally and made that piece a tongue of a smiley face.
The code is missing as I'm unable to retreive it now; however, it was a C++ code that used a simple if/else statement that would turn the servo when the switch is flipped. That's all there's to it. More effort was placed in planning the shape of the box and its size; as I was trying to fit everything in the smallest size possible (a common theme in many of my projects since smaller means more efficient). I placed the battery on the back side to allow for easier change and buy some space in the inside for my arduino, breadboard, and servo assembly (the three main parts of the device).
