The Sound of Silence Poster Self Review
This is a self-review of a mock-up poster for my music video project "The Sound of Silence".
1) What is the main focal point? Secondary focal point?
The main focal point is the silhouette. I would like the title to be the secondary focal point, but I believe the eyes are drawn to the 3 graphics in the bottom right-hand corner next.
2) What font family and color was used for the title?
The font family used for the title is Monotype Corsiva and the color used is a very pale yellow.
3) Are the supporting text and smaller images grouped together cohesively?
I believe the supporting text and smaller images are grouped together cohesively.
4) What specific colors were emphasized/repeated?
The color of the title was repeated with the supporting text.
5) What elements show the concepts of contrast?
The title, supporting text, and the 3 graphics all show the concept of contrast against the silhouette figure.

The title and supporting text repeat the color, and the 3 graphics repeat their size.

The mood of the poster is dark and somber. Which reflects the mood of the music video as it too is dark and somber.

The music video shows that the voices of people are kept silent and in the dark out of fear, which the poster represents with the silhouette and "stormy" background - showing a person, but not letting any features be displayed.
