The Last of Us is my favorite game and when the decision came upon what game to choose for a presentation in our game club, I instantly chose The Last of Us. It wasn't only because it was my favorite game, but how it changed Naughty Dog's game developing as well as other company's direction for narrative games.
I learned a lot about the game while researching for it. One example is that I didn't know the decision to make the Last of Us was such a risky move for Naughty Dog, as it was the first time they were making a narrative-based game that wasn't lighthearted. I also learned that you can really push Google Slides, I forced myself not to use too much out of the templates and tried to create my own look with it. It was a challenge, trying to make it look modern and sleek in Google Slides, there aren't a vast majority of tools that I could use. It was fun though, making it look like how it looked in a browser-based presentation maker.
The only problem that came out of the presentation was how the date was pushed back due to finals and other competitions that were going on in the club. However, when it came to December 12th, 2018, everything seemed to be in place. I presented on that day and everyone game positive feedback. The club liked my humor while presenting, as well as how I kept things interactive and informational. The presentation might look like a lot, but while presenting I kept things well-paced and easy to understand. It ended up only being around 25 mins long.
