In his attempt to connect the world, making it more “open and connected,” Mark Zuckerberg and his team ignored ethical violations and platform misuse, as he didn’t believe it was his responsibility to police the content since he was a software company providing a service (PBS, 2019). We will delve into a few of those ethical violations and try to develop a course of action to assist the leadership in building an ethical and moral environment, one in which the employees understand what these violations are and how to mitigate them. Additionally, we will discuss the type of power used within the company and how its use potentially drove the mindset.
