For my Experimental Methods class, my team decided to obtain experimental data of the effects of microjets on the lift, drag, and moment coefficients of an airfoil to be used in a graduate student's dissertation.
I was the team lead for this project.
• Performed aerodynamic calculations to predict the model's behavior under test conditions
• Assisted with modeling the airfoil in CATIA V5
• Assisted with manufacturing the airfoil and microjet array
• Reduced and analyzed test data
• Operated the WSU 3ft x 4ft wind tunnel (low-speed, open return)
• Communicated with the client and presented to classmates and department faculty
