This is a project I worked on with two other students. We were tasked with re-purposing a portion of an Army Survival Guide for a new audience, and this is what we came up with. We used the sections about tracking and trapping game, and scavenging edible plants for the basis of the "cookbook." We also replaced the military tone with something friendlier--intended to ease readers into the idea of making a meal in the wilderness. It's pitched as the first in a series of three that get progressively more intensive, so that's why it's not extremely detailed.
