I created this pamphlet with 2 classmates for our Interventions with Children course. The pamphlet lets parents know what to expect when their child is in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. My classmates and I were inspired by how heavily the intervention relies on parent engagement and understanding. We wanted to make sure that parents would understand what TF-CBT is and what their role would be during the process. I learned that it can be somewhat challenging to tone down the jargon used to discuss interventions when engaging with families. This was a great exercise in practicing family engagement in a way they can understand. The information in the pamphlet was synthesized from the Medical University of South Carolina's TF-CBT Web training.
