As a co-founder and president of the Tea Club at the University of Maryland I have learned the challenges of leadership and creating a community from a large student body at the university. I have also had the opportunity to use my love for art and combine it with my love for tea by creating promotional stickers and designs for the social media. Currently the Tea Club has 100+ members and 20-30 members come to the weekly meetings. Creating this community and holding meetings where I can share tea and tea culture with new students with the same interests as me has been a great way to make new friends and learn how to become a better leader.
