Cody Maverick and Chicken Joe came to San Diego to Tick-or-Treat this year!

Sofie and I assembled some awesome costumes based on one of my favorite movies- Surf's Up.

To make Cody's costume, I got a pair of black sweats and picked up a piece of white fur like fabric. I cut the fabric in a pattern to resemble Cody's unique chest and used fabric glue to attach it. I made a "Big Z" necklace from a large shell I found at Micheal's and used twine to make the chain and the "Z". I attached pipe cleaners to a pair of sunglasses with no lens and made the beak from a foam like visor. Eyes I made from the scraps of fabric and attached to a black hat.

Chicken Joe was made from yellow tights, a tutu, yello glues as feet, coconut shell bikini, Red sunglasses, a beak made from the visor scraps, and some red pieces found at Micheal's to make the head piece.

Two surfboards where also made from old foam board and left over spray paint.

At the end of the day, we probably spent about $80 for both, but had a bunch of fun getting creative and putting it all together.
