In my freshman year, I joined the Student Entrepreneurship Association, where my team and I developed a product called the Stress Less Spiny Friends, a cactus-shaped stress ball "planted" in a pot that was used for promoting mental health and decoration. With a budget of $100, we designed an advertising/ marketing strategy, created a website, made our product, and sold it at the Eller Marketplace at the end of the semester. Throughout the project, my team faced communication/ organization problems as well as lack of experience. We only sold 5 out of the 75 stress balls and did not turn over a profit. From this experience, I learned that it was important to prepare our products with more consideration of quality, to prepare earlier with more dedicated team members, and how to better market against competition,
