This is a report prepared by Oliver and one other colleague discussing the negative impact that sport franchises often play on the environment. The thesis of the paper is that the current regulations in place are allowing for American professional sports teams to avoid responsibility of their environmental impacts and there needs to be stricter criteria for the sustainable development of sports. The paper primarily focuses on teams located in California where CEQA is at the forefront of environmental regulation. Teams are constantly looking to bypass regulations like CEQA. This is one example of technical writing and research that Oliver has done throughout college.
