The purpose of this essay is to take a position on the inequality in STEM majors. I address that the STEM field is predominately male, and how that affects non-male students in the field. I talk about the history of the gender gap to give background on the issue. Also, gender discrimination within the major later affects the hiring situation and holds mistrust between women in STEM and major STEM businesses. The first new paragraph on the third page of my paper demonstrates my ability to use evidence from primary and secondary sources and support it with my reasoning and analysis. The paragraphs are laid out with the first sentence being a summary of the entire paragraph, allowing the reader to skim the paper quickly and find the portion they want to pay more attention towards.
To write a paper of this depth requires dedication and determination to complete. This means I have good time management skills to complete all the steps necessary to finish the paper. This includes investigating the topic, finding subcategories and relevant sources for each, and organizing them in a way that makes it easy for readers to follow. This paper demonstrates my ability to conduct a thorough investigation on a specific topic. I can organize my thoughts to be easily read and back up my reasoning with solid evidence from primary and secondary sources. The best example of this in the paper is the 3 page, since I use both a primary and secondary source to support my claim.
