For our assignment, we needed to improve an already-existing product with physics knowledge. We sought to improve the energy output of a slingshot by altering the bands in different ways to see how it affected velocity. Hooke's Law was used to predict the spring constant in the rubber bands and the law of conservation of energy was used to predict the velocities of the projectile when released with different types of sling bands.
