For my Senior Design Project, I am working with a team of four other Mechanical Engineering majors to design and fabricate an inverted fluorescence microscope for Cal Poly's developing Microfabrication Program. Following our completion of the project and delivery of the final product in May 2020, Microfabrication students will use the microscope in a laboratory setting to observe and capture images of fluorescent proteins in cells, and to analyze the flow of fluids through microfluidic channels.
