I created two spreadsheets that serve as resource guides for school social workers. One spreadsheet lists resources that school social workers can use themselves or refer families to. These resources include books, movies, videos, board games, etc. that each focus on a different skill or aspect of identity. I originally created this resource last year in response to a student who was struggling with body image and researched picture books that the student could read with family at home to work on body positivity and acceptance. The other spreadsheet lists many games and activities that focus on different social-emotional topics that could be used in an SEL lunch group.

These resource guides I created are living documents that I intend to use and share throughout my social work career. My goal is that myself and other practitioners can use these resources to support students in different situations through interactive games and educational materials. It is important to know about resources that can help students of all ages to understand aspects of their identities and move through different life experiences.
