After reading, assessing and analyzing the classic text by Shakespeare, my Pre-AP English class was assigned a group to recreate a scene from Romeo and Juliet.

In the scene we show the fight scene between Tybalt and Mercutio of the opposing houses. While keeping some classic elements the same, we attempted to make a more modern version of the original.

I played a key role in this project, as I did most of the camerawork and all of the editing, which made our project stand out. In addition, I collaborated with my group of five to script our video, and deciding what elements to keep and change.

At CBC's Humanities Arts and Music Festival, our project was displayed where is stood out for quality, while maintaining a good storyline. In addition, we printed out newspaper style handouts detailing the story of our scene.
