Reflection.
What was the goal of this project?
The goal of this project was to simulate the professional process of applying for a job, from resume development to interviewing. It aimed to prepare us for real-world job applications and professional interactions with employers.
How did you approach this project?
I approached the project by first selecting a realistic job that aligned with my interests, then tailoring all materials—my resume, LinkedIn, and videos—to that position. I set a schedule to ensure each element was completed with enough time for review and refinement.
What did you learn from this project?
I learned how important preparation and presentation are in the job application process. Crafting a cohesive professional identity across platforms (like LinkedIn and resume) is key. I also became more comfortable speaking on camera and reflecting on my experiences for interview settings.
What would you do differently if you were to do it again?
If I were to do this project again, I would spend more time practicing for the video responses to improve fluency and confidence. I’d also seek feedback on my resume and LinkedIn profile earlier to make more impactful revisions.
