In this case competition for PWC, my team consulted for a hypothetical company, Vune. Vune is very family based and places an emphasis on traditional, reliable products such as fridges and ovens. They are looking to expand into developing smart technologies and are beginning to build facilities in China and Latin America. We used the feedback of the Vune board members to identify risks when expanding into smart technology and previous PWC client cases to analyze effective solutions. In the case of Kapsch, PWC helped them implement the "Fit to grow" model and reduced inefficiencies. In the case of United, Salesforce and Microsoft cloud technology proved vital to gaining and sustaining competitive advantage when there are existing competitors.
Once we implement the proposed solutions for Vune, a suggestion for how to maintain Vune's place in the market is by creating a collaborative atmosphere through workshops with people in different sectors of the company and around the world.
