This is a prototype of a robot that is able to scale a vertical wall using continuous rotating servo motors and spiny appendages. This project served to demonstrate effective Bluetooth control via an app I developed and to demonstrate the ability to create robots using household materials. The body was formed with wood that held the Arduino Uno, HC-06 Bluetooth module, and battery in place while vertical. The spines were created by cutting wire and gluing it to the end of zip ties. The app was created on MIT App Inventor and it was able to communicate motor direction and speed commands to the microcontroller. I programmed the Uno on the Arduino IDE platform.
