I joined Monsoon SIM as a way to further my learning in not just theory, but also application. My team and I managed to reach the regional finalists in Thailand, after winning the nationals in Singapore.

In this activity, i desired to learn more about how real business was like. And I believe that i met my learning objective and more. MonsoonSIM is a simulation of a more holistic business that allows for learning not just by the book but also through real-life practice. It was a valuable learning experience that not only changed the way that I thought about work, but also how i treated my modules in the future. I decided to absorb my future lessons in a more practical, rather than theoretical, method.

This activity also allowed me to have a better insight in overall business through gamification and more importantly, allowed me to have a better idea on what more i should be trying to learn in the future - which was a stronger interest in basic data and financial analysis. This is then reflected by my current pursuing of better Python, VBA and SQL skills.
