This project is the SQL Beginners Workshop, which is part of the Peer Mentoring Programme (PMP) that caters to data definition, query, and management. I have been tasked to create a list of queries from various tables in a database to complete an assignment.
Also, this certificate is to certify my completion of attending basic SQL classes and completing the assignments given. Throughout the three sessions, I have learnt how to pull information from various tables in databases by filtering search results through statements such as 'select', 'from', 'where', 'groupby', 'order by, and 'having'. With constant practice, I have managed to derive interesting insights based on raw data.
I find this skill really important because sorting and filtering large data to make sense of particular information to derive trends/patterns are necessary for workplaces. I can definitely see myself applying these skills and knowledge in the future, which requires my skillset to make sense of big data. While I have had prior knowledge and experience in SQL during polytechnic, it was great to be able to reinforce my learning.
