Investments regarding traditional assets have always been the bulk of my investment portfolio. However, the iFAST case study challenge had broadened my horizons and interest that changed my vision and philosophy on investment.

I have learnt to appreciate the intrinsic values of impact investing that contributes positively to environmental, social, and governance (ESG), also known as socially responsible investing. Hence, my team and I conducted research by analyzing companies' CSR initiatives and activities that contribute to the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Upon finding suitable securities, we made a short video to market our recommendations.

Throughout the project duration, I have improved my research and analysis skills. Also, I have been acquainted with various policies that form the basis of sustainable investing. By applying what I had learnt from these seminars, I had already incorporated high ESG-rating assets into my portfolio.
