(Project Title - Future Learning Mandatory Req) 1
The following document is my e-certificate regarding my completion of the e-Business Masterclass, online Industry-based Study Programme (IBSP) at TaoBao University (TBU).
The subsequent pictures showcase my group's vision of what the future "super-app" should look like. We had incorporated Financial services, travelling features, e-commerce, and many more. Although this project was a proof of concept, or "prototype", we made an effort to ensure the product we pitched are highly feasible and applicable in the near future, also believing in making a positive change in people's lives.
Throughout the virtual 6-day learning journey, I have had the honour to receive a tour of the campus and various Alibaba's premises such as Cainiao warehouse, Hema Supermarket, and the Flyzoo Hotel. Furthermore, there were many insightful academic sessions from various industry experts, ranging from Fintech to Supply Chain to New Retail.
The sessions were hosted by the famous Fintech specialist: Yassine Regragui, that went into detail regarding the appliance and tools utilised in the Fintech industry, e.g. Open Banking, Open Finance, and CBDC. From there, John, a TBU lecturer shared some valuable information regarding the business model and the vision of Alibaba in the New Retail operations. Lastly, Li Guang, the supply chain lecturer at TBU had also given us an incredible and detailed lecture on the basics of the supply chain and logistics operations adopted by Alibaba, using Cainiao warehouse as a reference.
In the final segment of the trip, I had conducted a presentation on behalf of my group regarding the potential ideas and applications of a "super-app" that makes an impact on everyone's lifestyle. Our topic focused on the areas of Finance and Fintech.
Upon the completion of the trip, I wish to learn more in the future regarding the three areas: Fintech, New Retail, and Supply Chain, which is why I intend to take courses that strengthen my knowledge; e.g. FIN498, FIN383, FIN385, FIN387, and BUS352. To complement and reinforce my learning, I have also researched relevant academic journals regarding Fintech from sites such as ScienceDirect, which I believe will be extremely beneficial for me in the future.
