This map shows generic population density based on 2013 population data in Switzerland. While studying about administrative information of Switzerland, I occurred to learn that the country uses different terminology to indicate "state" in the U.S. as "canton". Additionally, a great GIS data archive website could be found for GIS data (administrative areas, population, and so forth) of different countries, DIVA-GIS (http://www.diva-gis.org/gdata).
