This project consisted of turning two aluminum cylinders and laser cutting stamp rubber to clamp a pitot tube in place for Cal Poly's Low Speed Wind Tunnel. The inner diameter was drilled out of hex 6061 aluminum stock with some clearance for the pitot tube. Then, the outer diameter was turned to make room for the sting balance geometry that lowers from the ceiling of the test section. I parted the aluminum to create two pieces, in which I drilled and tapped for a set screw to clamp onto the pitot tube. After seeing this was too loose, I designed a rubber gasket to fit on other side of the sting balance and add rigidity to the mount.
