When it comes to Pathways, there are four key areas: pathway details, Milestones, Requirements, and Administrative settings.
Pathway Details- This is where you enter the name of your Pathway, and the description of the pathway. You can also assign a badge at the completion of the pathway. This section is where you describe what the learner will achieve, what skills they will acquire, and what they can expect with the pathway.
Milestones- These are the key checkpoints along the pathway that learners need to complete. There can be any number of milestones, but each one should be aligned to the final goal of the pathway. When creating a Pathway, this section allows you to name your milestones and enter a brief description. You also have the option of awarding a badge. This is also the area where you will add a requirement(s) to a milestone.
Requirements- These are the items that need to be completed to achieve each milestone. There can be as many requirements for a milestone as you want, but just ensure that each requirement is aligned to the milestone. Basically it's the actual work the student will do to demonstrate knowledge of that particular milestone.
Administrative Settings- This is where you can assign a role to faculty members, as well as decide on a review strategy. The two roles are Reviewers and Coordinators. Coordinators can build and edit the Pathway, where Reviewers can only grade the work in the pathway. As far as the Review Strategy, you first decide on the number of reviews for the submission. Single means that each requirement will be reviewed once. Multiple means that each requirement will need to be reviewed two or more times. Next, you decide on whether the submissions are distributed on a first come first serve basis or an even distribution. First come first serve means the first reviewer to grade the submission is how the review process will work. Even distribution means that the submissions will be equally divided among the reviewers.
When it comes to Administrators and Faculty, administrators can edit and build pathways, where faculty members can only do this if invited to be a coordinator. Administrators also have the access to make Faculty reviewers, so they can grade the submissions in the pathway.
