Class Description
Karen O’Neil teaches students to interpret and relate color. Students will sharpen their ability to see and simplify still life subjects into large masses of value and color. Specific painting issues are addressed each month. Short weekly demos are a highlight of this class. For oil and acrylic. Soft and oil pastels are also allowed.
About the Instructor
Karen O’Neil has been instructing painting courses and workshops throughout the Northeast for two decades. A graduate of Massachusetts College of Art, Ms. O’Neil studied in Provincetown with Henry Hensche and also at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. She has been the recipient of regional fellowships, and has been an artist-in-residence at Millay colony.
Ms. O’Neil’s award-winning work is included in numerous private and corporate collections in New York, including Pfizer and Memorial Sloan Kettering.
