I remember doing this as a project for a class. I love animation as a whole, so having the opportunity to create an animated GIF for an assignment was exciting. I used Adobe Photoshop for both the art and animation itself. The program has a built in Timeline function for projects such as animated GIFs, so doing a drawn animation was not too difficult to do. Certainly time consuming, but not hard. After 2-3 hours, it was done and I added some silly captions and lounge music to it when I made it into a video using Adobe Premiere Pro.
A simple project, but once it was done, I felt very accomplished. It was a great in the right direction for making drawn animated GIFs for both myself and for college. I do plan on making more animated GIFs with not only Photoshop, but also Adobe Animate (also known as Adobe Flash before the name change). It was nice to also be told that the paint brush appeared to be "dancing" throughout the GIF.
