Numerical Simulation of Lid-Driven Cavity Problem

The lid-driven cavity is a benchmark problem for viscous incompressible flow. In this report, the Marker and Cell (MAC) method was employed on a square cavity using C++ to solve the non-dimensional form of Navier–Stokes (N-S) equations on a 2D uniform staggered grid. Contours for u-velocity and pressure were visualized using MATLAB.
