National University Scholars Program
This wonderful program has given me the opportunity to continue my quest of lifelong learning, and I feel privileged to have been chosen to become an NU Scholar and an Ambassador for the University. The program provides several opportunities which include leadership training, community service learning, studying abroad, peer mentoring and research. Being an Nu Scholar, I’m proud to represent National University as an ambassador speaking at special events and giving back to the community. The program makes it possible for me to completely engage in these opportunities and studies for the teaching credential in special education because it comes with a full tuition scholarship plus a book stipend. I’m so grateful for these unique experiences and the support from the University to achieve my full potential. The program is something I never imagined a year ago when I contemplated, as a mom and substitute teacher, returning back to school at the age of 51.
