This was an extracurricular design team project for the 2018-2019 Collegiate Wind Competition where students are tasked with building a model wind turbine to be assessed in the US Department of Energy wind tunnel for its performance in various weather environments. My role in this project was the design and fabrication of the automatic pitch control mechanism capable of adjusting the angle of attack of the three wind turbine blades to maximize the power generated from a given wind speed.
