Mind Map Summary:
I am passionate about helping others and giving back to the community. I also really care about animals and wildlife. Eventually, I would like to plan fundraisers for non-profits and maybe one day own and operate an animal shelter for abused or abandoned animals. My core values consist of loyalty, kindness, and environmental friendliness from a company or employer. I would like to be able to have an internship in the summer of 2019 and maybe a part-time job next semester and sophomore year. In the long term I think I would work with some kind of foundation or even with a parks system. Right now, I would say my top strengths are problem solving in creative ways, networking, and my general friendliness makes me very approachable. I’m not very good with time management or dealing with my stress and anxiety so I think I should work on those. Carl Winston is definitely one of my role models because he is very good with just dealing with people in general and he has his own foundation. My other role model is Kira Hughes, I met her when I went to Hawaii, and she works in the Gates Coral Lab on Coconut Island. She’s extremely passionate about her coral research and helping the coral survive. I hope one day to be as passionate about what I do like she is. I would say the biggest difference is that Carl works in Hospitality and Kira works more on the Recreation side, even though it’s research.
