This project was assigned for my Mechanical Engineering Design (ENGM 400) course. In this project I was tasked with finding a broken metal part and to perform a failure analysis on it. The goal of the analysis was to find out how the part broke. Then I had to redesign the part so that it's performance would be improved. I used SolidWorks to model the part, and I ran simulations in ANSYS Workbench to prove that my calculations were correct.
