The overall goal is for each group of 4 students to see themselves as a specialized product design team, working for a small startup company, trying to obtain money from wealthy investors (i.e. a panel of faculty judges). The team needs to design and build a working prototype of a revolutionary new product (much like what happens on the TV show “Shark Tank”). The startup company is looking into the growing field of University Smart Devices.
