I made this design in Solidworks as a part of the L'SPACE NASA Proposal Writing and Evaluation Experience (NPWEE).

For 12 weeks, I worked with a team to research various areas of interest that NASA would like to develop new technologies in. These areas are dubbed 'pain points' since they usually involve a problem that requires an innovative solution. Within the proposal, I outlined what the new technology consists of, what its purpose and value are, how its performance parameters would improve current state of the art solutions, what its potential risks are, a project schedule, and a budget. These criteria were evaluated by a panel of reviewers to determine if the idea would receive $10,000 to actually undergo development.

I also reviewed a total of 4 proposals submitted by other people and served as the primary reviewer for one of them. I compiled a list of findings, including strengths and weaknesses pertaining to the previous criteria, and helped score the proposals accordingly. I got to expand my writing skills by explaining what the value of an idea is rather than just describing its technical aspects, all while keeping the entire proposal to 7 pages or less.
