I read, annotated and wrote about the poem ¨Look Up¨ by Gary Turk. This poem focuses primarily on technology standing in the way of our full potential. He, instead of asking for the demolition of these devices, wants his readers to set time aside for real communication. His purpose is accomplished through beautifully articulated lines and an understanding of his reader. His masterful use of all the right rhetorical devices inspired me to explore the way he wrote to get his points across.
