This was a very surreal opportunity, and it marks my very first internship. I had the chance to intern for Entertainment Tonight & The Insider, which enables me to work at the 2012 Academy Awards. Throughout the course of my internship my duties included transcribing clips and working with various clips, interviews, and on-set footage that are being prepared for on-air display. I also was able to shadow the show director and watch how a show like ET & The Insider are constructed. While working at the Academy Awards, I was able to see how a show like ET is able to cover such a massive event, and boy is there a lot that goes into it. I got to assist with running cables and equipment in preparation for the event, as well as witness all the action firsthand on the red carpet. Overall, this was my first real exposure to the industry and I am excited to explore more aspects of what this vast industry has to offer.
