This paper offers new policies and procedures for Aldi Foods to enhance the productivity, quality of product, innovativeness, profitability/cost effectiveness and morale to meet the competitive and social challenges of the year 2020 and beyond. This paper also provides a statement of management philosophy and a sketch of the basic human resources policies and procedures that can be used to result in these goals.
Human Resources professionals will find that the statement of management philosophy will give managers in the company the foundation to build a decentralized management team to tackle the problems a company faces on a daily basis and mold the future leaders within the organization. Additionally, the five policy proposals should act as a starting point for providing employees and management alike the tools and knowledge they need to succeed and foster a healthy work environment.

Writing this paper allowed me to understand that when creating a successful HR policy, leadership must rely on the culture of the organization, the management philosophy and the overall work environment of the employees. There are hundreds of variables that need to be considered and a clear, concise policy must be understood by all. As a manager developing policy, all employees must be taken into consideration through a culture of inclusion and safety.
