This project entailed the designing and fabrication of an Oscillating Air Engine. The piston and cylinder assembly runs off an air compressor to drive the flywheel around its axle. The project started off with Keith Barwell's 3D model in Solidworks of each part and then went to assembling them in the program. They were then converted into printed schematics to bring to the machine shop in order to be fabricated. The engine was made from predominantly aluminum, but had some steel, brass, and acrylic as well.
