Mechanical and Structural Engineering experience using ANSYS to analyze the structural and mechanical integrity of various components & designs. I am proficient in using both Ansys Mechanical APDL and Ansys Workbench to conduct structural/dynamic and mechanical analyses, including static strength, modal, fatigue and fracture. I have completed numerous bolted, presurized joint analyses and various bolt-sizing and joint design analyses. I have extensive classroom and professional experience using Ansys v.9-14. Structural analyses were performed on NASA's J-2X upper stage liquid rocket engine components, including the Gas Generator Assembly and numerous bolted flange assemblies for the Department of Engergy (DOE)'s Coal Gasification Program. Most recently, I completed a stuctural/modal analysis on a compressor rotor blade for an up-rated industrial gas turbine engine.

Ansys Info from Wikipedia:
ANSYS offers a comprehensive range of engineering simulation solution sets providing access to virtually any field of engineering simulation that a design process requires. Companies in a wide variety of industries use ANSYS software. The tools put a virtual product through a rigorous testing procedure (such as crashing a car into a brick wall, or running for several years on a tarmac road) before it becomes a physical object.
