In the midst of the horrific North Bay fires in October, numerous local reporters took on the feat of covering the calamity in their own backyards. Read in the main story about some of the journalists' experiences dealing with the various nuanced struggles reporting on the disaster and interviewing people who lost everything. The sidebar story illustrates my personal experience being racked with guilt while mandated to stay at home as the fires devour beloved communities close by.
